Fall is just around the corner and that means wonderful riding opportunities to see batches of color in the hills and mountains. I think this year I'll get David and we'll head up around Pikes Peak and do a lot of riding in that direction. There are roads up there that he's never been riding on and I can just imagine what the color will be like.Fall colors in the Rockies is so short and I really don't want to miss it.
With the natural change of seasons and the beautiful colors that always follow... it always puts me in the mood for bright vibrant colors to knit with. As beautiful as Colorado is, winter here is rather bland. Browns, grays and white. So I quite literally end up craving color and my temperament changes as I add it to my daily life.
About a month ago I was invited to go to Taos, NM at the end of September with a local yarn shop owner and about 4 other ladies. David damn near pushed me out the door when I told him about the opportunity. So I guess you really don't have to ask me twice! I'm headed to Taos in just a couple of weeks for the Taos Wool Festival and my intention is to ride down there. I hope the weather cooperates and allows for this quick trip.
Just think of all the color that I'll see and enjoy while I'm there and the riding possibilities. Wow.....

I love it!
